Canelo fought well for the first few rounds, gassed out and spent the rest of the match on and off the ropes. Canelo didn't even do enough to be handed a fake victory. Blind Byrd couldn't save a performance like that.

In the second fight he comfortably handled Golovkin and probably could have stepped it up earlier and had him in trouble. In the third fight Golovkin wouldn't hear the final bell.

He fought better in the rematch, but faded overtime and got stunned in the late rounds. Golovkin has a good enough chin to go the distance with Canelo in a 3rd fight.
