I guess he felt people who spoke with a silver spoon in their mouth were highly respected by their peers (though their peers would never admit) and Eubank always craved respect, so he used to listen to the newsreaders on BBC1 and the World Service Radio and just copy them over and over and over until it just became the way he spoke. He first became obsessed with dress sense when he saw older guys going to blues dances in Farrar slacks and bowler hats and thought they were given a deeper form of respect.

He says he also learned from American's speaking English incorrectly, in a Bronx ****** with guys calling eachother 'mother****er' in every sentance it just made Eubank even more snobbish!

lol. eubank also has a super lisp though, im sure if he was that hardcore on being seen as a gentleman and speaking like landed gentry, he could have paid through the arse for elocution lessons especially when he started making some dough.

There are some strange stories with Eubank's voice..

His brother Simon says that they never remembered Chris speaking with a lisp when he was growing up.

Frank Warren claims Eubank spoke with an American accent when he went to see him in 1988!

I don't know what to believe.

did'nt eubank keep changin his name in his teens & early 20s too ? from christopher 2 chris & back again, from eubanks 2 eubank & back again (& again), & even changed his middle name 2 livingstone
