Hitting the heavy bag with a weighted vest on. Any added benefit?

I've got a 25 lbs. weighted vest that I've been wearing while hitting my heavy bag. Do you guys know if this is common practice amongst fighters in the boxing community? If so, is there any added value in doing this? Thanks.

How do you find a vest that will hit a heavy bag?

I fixed the title for slow people like you.

        That’s very kind of you.

And no, there’s no benefit. I trained amateurs and pros for several years and never once came across anyone who suggested this.

A weighted vest while doing any form of exercise can be beneficial. May be taboo but it will be harder to hit the bag with the same intensity and duration with an additional 25lbs on you vs no additional weight.

I guess that’s the point of exercise/training? Right?
