Comments Thread For: Johnathan Banks Wants Golovkin To Be Loose and Elusive

New York - After suffering the first loss of his professional boxing career, Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KO's) decided that a change was in order. After losing what some pundits still feel is a controversial decision to Canelo Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO's), Golovkin switched trainers.

His awesome jab with a little more movement great for plodders like Lemuiex. But boxers who are running from him old ggg bodywork cutting off ring pressure needed styles change for opponents

If he is truly making some changes to his base game plan, I suppose fighting a guy like Rolls makes some sense.

Golovkin used to be loose and elusive... in the pocket. The stage of his prime is long gone.

we're not gonna see any real difference right now whether he steps up and fight a real comp or not. he's gonna need a few more fights under banks to fully get accustom to what banks is teaching him for him to put it on display.

It’ll be interesting to see what ggg has learned.

I'd like to see a Wilderesque knockout. I don't want him practicing a new boring style with someone who should not be in there.

Rolls is 35 so he probably can't be that fast.
