Yeah saw that several times before. Ward always has an excuse. His analogy to Kovalev is ridiculous. Nothing would have been said against Ward if he asked for a catchweight against Kovalev. The way catchweight are proliferating now it's not controversial. Hell Canelo just put a weight restriction on Jacobs a member of his own weight class and the mainstream media didn't bat an eye. Ward called him out remember. It's not Golovkin's fault that Ward sued his manager or got injured. Andre played this well got some publicity and generated some interest in his fights. Good for him.

aside from there being TONS of proof that Golovkin avoided Ward..... it is actually clearly obvious.....

and yet..... despite that fact it is obvious that Golovkin avoided Ward..... and despite the fact that Ward jumped a division and fought a BIGGER/BETTER more-dangerous opponent than Golovkin.....

..... you are spastic enough to try to convince fans that Ward was somehow disingenuous about making that fight..... ?

and this is also despite the fact that Golovkin has never lifted his finger to make a meaningful fight..... and despite the fact that Ward jumped in there with killers..... time-and-time-again.....

Ward simply outgrew the Super Middleweight division by his own admission. It's not surprising or unexpected that he moved up. So you want us to believe that this guy who had to move up because as he said it was killing him to make weight was going to shed weight. In your dreams.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Ward was only interested in fighting Golovkin if he got everything his way. The fight was doomed to failure because Ward saw a chance to get some publicity for himself and grabbed it. I see nothing wrong with that. You don't have to make up a bunch of excuses for Ward. There is no need for you to get so defensive. This type of thing has been going on in boxing since it first started. If you weren't a casual you'd know that.

why can’t they do a third fight though? People are acting as if what Golovkin is saying about wanting a third fight is blasphemous. The last time I checked he was a MW champ for around 20 defenses and has every right to a rematch just as most champions get a chance to rematch once they lose. Long reigning champs like Hopkins got to, so why not G?

He did get his rematch already. If he wants another one he has to earn it like everyone else. Stop ducking Andrade and Charlo. Both a routes to Canelo but he doesn't want to hear about it because he is what he always was, a liar, a coward, and a bum killer.

Ward is great at using his elbows, excessive holding and headbutting his opponents into submission. I will grant you that. This is boxing however not MMA. Ward lost the first fight to Kovalev and won the last fight using an illegal punch.
