Is it wrong to quit when you have nothing left?

If a fighter is just getting out boxed and embarrassed I don't agree with it.

But if you've gotten up from 4 knockdowns and fought gassed out for 4 rounds and are struggling to even stand, are you supposed to allow yourself to be punched into unconsciousness so as to not be a quitter?

When you have nothing left, then you don't get back up

We have come a long way from the days in boxing when you were expected to die in the ring before quitting. If a boxer knows in his heart that he has nothing left and just cannot win, I don't have a problem with him quitting. What's the alternative--he gets mauled and permanently injured or killed? I don't want to see that so long as he doesn't make petty excuses afterwards. Own it and then move on and regroup.

You either have heart or you don't. Nobody said anything about death. Have you ever competed to point of exhaustion, the point where you can't physically continue? That's what I'm talking about. Further, if Joshua wanted to quit, he should have just stayed down.

It takes heart to get up from 4 knockdowns and get beat up for multiple rounds when gassed. Many fighters wouldn't.

Stop talking trash, you've never laced up a glove in your life.

Don’t ever quit. Just claim you got hit low and aren’t able to continue.
