Ruiz already on that Hollywood diet. Looking great.

He will probably never look like this without PEDs but he can definitely look better than he looks now. I think 240-250 lbs with less fat and a tiny bit more muscle would be beneficial for his performance and for marketing reasons. A part of what killed heavyweight boxing in the 2000s is heavyweight bringing in unappealing physiques to the ring, which believe it or not is a big factor when it comes to selling fights.Comment

Ruiz is the new everyday body guy!
How many people are actually in tip top shape? Most don’t have the time or energy to work out like they want but still wear their stomachs with pride!
Ruiz represents not only Mexicans and Mexican Americans but people who have dad bods and who have a certain physique but they’re fit!
Grab a snickers and you too can look like Andy Ruiz, the first Mexican heavyweight champ of the world!
Are you hungry enough?Comment

I understand what you're saying but I actually think in Ruiz's case his body helps his marketability. His 'everyman' look has really captured the public's (not just boxing fans) imagination since the fight and garnered almost as much attention as the win itself. He will probably never look like this without PEDs but he can definitely look better than he looks now. As for performance, if it's not broke why fix it? He has fast hands, good combinations, can go twelve rounds and with all that mass obviously carries some heavy power. It's not the type of body anyone can perform well with but Ruiz is an exception to the rule. He's used to it and carries the weight well.
I respect your opinion and I can understand why somebody would disagree with me but I think that in Ruiz's case it just works for him.Comment
