shouldn't be that hard its just that many people aren't big enough boxing fans to actually go through it to watch a fight. I am not interested and I always see what fights I want to see, if a PPV is $80 just split it with friends.

^^^this. Saw the highlight package on YouTube (DAZN made sure to clearly show the exchange where Joshua ended up getting clipped behind the ear), and that was it.

It's interesting to see folks try to talk it up though

I hear people complaining about it every time there's a big fight, yet the illegal DAZN streams I find online are always good.... I've never have a buffering issue.

If DAZN is struggling (in the US) its the lack of content, not the fact that its a stream. When I had it last month only had one or two small buffering incidents, but no complaints

Assuming someone subscribes for a whole year and therefore pays around 8-9 dollars a month for boxing.

How many fights or what quality of fights are necessary to be worth the price tag?

Looking at the schedule, since april they offered boxing for every weekend. Of course, there will be some average cards, but at the same time you got rungivsai vs estrada with roman vs doheny on the undercard, the semi-finals of the WBSS, Canelo Vs Jacobs, Joshua Vs Ruiz, Haney headlining, Andrade Vs Suliecki, the Whyte Vs Rivas card is also fun and now they announced a unification between hooker and ramirez.
Then there are also lesser known fighters in good matchups: Rey Vargas Vs Kameda and Cancio Vs Machado rematch.

Thats a decent 4 months and a vast improvement compared to the first 6 months since they launched dazn in the US.

I pay 10€ in germany and DAZN germany doesnt even have the rights for the WBSS and the skycards (We get the Showtime cards instead though) and I'm pretty content with what I get for what I pay.

But if boxing fans in the US keep fighting against DAZN, we will lose a big outlet for boxing (16 US cards in the first six months of 2019) and someone who also has the capacities to build boxing into an internationally more accessible sport.

              Edit:

If I had a grandpa who is into boxing (I dont), I would just set up DAZN for him lol.

Huh, no where in my post did i say anything about the value of DAZN. It is a great deal for boxing, however boxing is just simply not that big in the US. My point is they need more overall sports and content to grow in the US. Thats why I strongly disagree with the premise that streaming is hurting DAZN. Showtime was streaming before anyone else in boxing and ESPN/ESPN3/ESPN+ has been streaming forever. Besides getting fights free on Fox, DAZN is the best "value" if you only care about boxing. Still, with exception of the 2 Canelo fights, the DAZN needs bigger fights to pull in the subscriptions. GGG-Rolls aint doing it, but the AJ Ruiz rematch will be great for them and is why they will push for having it in the US. Also to your bolded - those fights will just find another outlet, not like they simply wont happen

Edit: DAZN should really go after the smaller college conferences that do not have big deals with ESPN/ESPN3. Probably cheap deal and will add much needed content and a consumer base

i think the interface is simple enough to use. turn on teh app, click the pig picture of the poster for the live fight. voila. easier than going through 700 TV channels without any real order to them

i have heard that lots of people have connection issues. i use hardline internet because i'm a geek and i have only had issues once with bandwith and freezing, when i was watching a replay of all times.

                      My bad, misinterpreted your post.
Sure, boxing alone wont be enough for the US market, but I dont expect them to just be a combat stream service. In every other country they are operating, they have rights for the more popular sports.

Regarding your last point, I wouldnt be so sure. The failure of big money guys trying to get into the US market will be a deterrence for new en****** to get into boxing.
Before the crazy influx of money in the last couple of years (DAZNs launch, PBCs move into free tv and the Toprank ESPN deal), there was a lot less boxing going on.
I can remember having three or four consecutive weeks without any proper boxing matches going on, especially in the summer.
Nowadays, there are at least 2 decent boxing cards scheduled every weekend and I hope for it will continue like this.
