Comments Thread For: Olympic Prospect Defends McCracken in Wake of Joshua Loss

Olympic heavyweight prospect Frazer Clarke has sprung to defence of trainer Rob McCracken following Anthony Joshua's shock loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. on Saturday night. McCracken, who combines being Joshua's chief corner man with his role as performance director of Great Britain's boxing squad, has been criticised by the likes of former champion Lennox Lewis in the wake of Joshua's defeat.

It’s takes two or three camps to get comfortable with a new coaching team. It probably wouldn’t be a good idea to change his team under the time pressures of the rematch and when he needs people who know him to help get his head straight. Rob will also be questioning and wanting to improve from this. I don’t see him changing the team for this fight only if he loses again.
