AJ no longer has ‘the eye of the Tiger

he’s all smiles, too respectful and too nice
He looked unconfident backing away from the start against Ruiz
I didn’t understand why he didn’t power through him like he used to.
I thought he’d declined since Klitchko too, peaked young like Tyson perhaps. He dropped Ruiz and was going for the finish and got caught high on the head while throwing himself, that messes a fighters equilibrium and balance up.
That’s why he didn’t know where he was, but for me he fought like a sitting duck.
His decline was his team controlling the raw power he has to Box to instructions
I thought that in the Parker fight
He’s a huge man, bigger than most heavyweightshes fought
Whyte shook him, so did Poverkin
He’s muscle bound and it’s known that physique isn’t the best
    Shades of Frank Bruno

He looks like a man who got crushed by pressure and is happy it's over. I don't know if he ever bounce back after this.

I can't see comparison to Bruno, he didn't even defend his title once.

      See my rocky 3 thread

      Aj had it all

He was the best heavy and was feared by many Ortiz, wilder and more

Hell miller took peds as he thought he had no chance

Then came the sponsors and the money and fame

He made 30m plus per fight and god knows what more from sponsors

He let his will slip and a lion took him out

Now it’s about redemption, he has to find that fire again and if he does, he will be number 1 again

This is a real life rocky 3

I completely agree. I don’t think AJ is an amazing boxer but he has a very decent record

Wlad, Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Takam, Breazeale, Molina. 4 belts and a fair few title defences. He’s had a very decent career already

If he retire tomorrow he'll be second best UK heavyweight in history.

People that keep using Bruno as an insult can't be taken seriously. Bruno is a very underrated fighter. He'd be #1 if he was fighting today.

How the hell would Frank bruno beat Tyson Fury?

Who can beat a 6'9 pure boxer with quick hand speed, exceptional footwork and high boxing I.Q? Almost nobody.

Fury is chinny. Dropped by Cunningham and Pajkic?

Fury is very good, but I doubt he will retire unbeaten.
