There should be zero surprise that the Eddie Hearn backed fighter got the benefit of the doubt in a close fight. I had Persoon winning based on her work rate and aggressiveness. She didn't land a ton of clean shots but she definitely scored more than Taylor did. Taylor got exposed a bit.

You don't get points for workrate or aggressiveness. Only effectiveness. Also, boxing is scored round by round. According to Compubox, 96-94 to Taylor was correct (6-4 rounds to Taylor for total punches thrown and 5-3-2 for power punches). Persoon won the rounds she did more convencingly but only 10-9s still. Great fight though and love to see it again.

Pretty tough that Belgian lady. Gave Katie no space. Rematch would be cool.

Delfine was relentless and aggressive, but she got hit way too much and Taylor had the neater work. That's why I'm not mad at the decision, although I personally had it a draw.
