Comments Thread For: Whyte: Joshua Seemed Scared, Like He Didn't Want To Be There

Dillian Whyte was initially pegged as the first opponent for Anthony Joshua in 2019. Joshua picked up a stoppage victory over Whyte in a furious grudge match in December of 2015. They were negotiating a rematch date for this past April - but the two boxers were unable to reach a financial agreement - with both going in different directions.

Something went wrong, something just wasn't right.

Any good boxer or trainer can tell you he was exposed with a lot of issues chin , conditioning , limited offense and defense worst no heart of a champing to let a guy that looks like he should be on the biggest loser !! Come on people wake show is over , this wasn’t a one punch KO or got cold . He got beat and broken down downstairs and upstairs! Shows over , DW would seriously put AJ in a coma or death !!

Yeah this is a really poor article. I watched the whole interview. Whyte said loads of interesting things about Joshua and that fight. Some complimentary and a lot... not. What they wrote about here was the least interesting. Whyte was mostly joking about the peds.

Joshua’s dad has come out in the Uk media and said aj was knocked out in sparing and had a bad concussion 8 days before the fight

If that’s true and McCracken let him fight on that’s a bad look !!! That s**t is dangerous.

Hopefully it’s just media bulls**t but if it Isn’t someone needs to get their azz fired . Joshua didn’t look right from the off but Ruiz pressed him from the off

The truth will come out soon I guess

People over a nalysing. Josh got hit with a punch and didn't recover. Josh has hit many opponents who didn't recover also, like Charles martin, dillian whyte and johnson.
Josh probably didn't want to be there as his senses were scrambled and didn't know what to d o to avoid being hit. If you asked Josh what 2 + 2 was he might not have been able to answer. His senses scrambled.
                Surely dillian knows feeling

                  Some more quotes, same interview

“He said to his coach ‘why do I feel like this?’, because you’re in America with the VADA testing and you’re not on the juice that’s why,” Whyte added.

“It’s harder to get the****utic use exemptions [TUE] in America than the UK, that’s why.”

“He’ll live and learn, at the end of the day I’ve had a loss, he’s big and strong enough to come back, he’s an olympic champion, former world champion, he’ll be back bigger and stronger,” Whyte said.

“I still believe he will beat Andy Ruiz Jr in the rematch, you need to look at his camp, he needs to look at what he did wrong, where he went wrong.

“He’s got a very experienced camp with Rob McCracken behind him. Maybe he should have gone to America two months or a month before the fight, you don’t know.”

Joshua clearly hasn't learnt the adaptability part of boxing, he was fighting ruiz still as if he hadn't been dropped twice, he should have changed tactics, perhaps it's time for a well renowned American coach like Johnathon banks who can teach him movements and the jab and grab style klitschko succeeded with...i still see Joshua with all the belts when the smoke clears
