I definitely believe he could have been knocked out in sparring, but usually I'd take these smirks about sparring stories with a pinch of salt.
everyone is out to make a name for themselves, and people lie a lot.

Anyone notice how there was NO shots of Joshua warming up in his dressing room? Or being laced up?
Every big fight shows the main attraction in their dressing room prior. Add to that the 30 min delay, the fact he looked away with the stars before the fight even started. He barely moved when being announced. If the panic attack rumor is true, I wouldn't be surprised if they pumped him with meds to calm him down.

what you’re getting at with mike and km but they are super successful and great people today cause of their journey.
Did they have mental breakdown? Simple yes or no should suffice. Being successful has no bearing on the topic. It's about how the "struggle" didn't help them from having mental breakdown since you believe it cureth all.
didn’t see a man who quit because you never been in that situation period you don’t have a clue to what you’re spewing.
Honestly, I would've preferred if he had stayed down after the 2nd KD in the 3rd round. And that would've saved him all the unnecessary punishment he took whilst trying to fight with his legs gone. Legs were gone and there was no sting in his punches. So there was no point unless he was jabbing and not engaging.

Was he concussed weeks beforehand? If so then I can buy the panic attack theory. But to just say he had panic attacks because he was fighting in a foreign country in front of 19,000 people (7,000 who are from UK) just doesn’t do it for me. Not when he has been fighting in front of 90k on a regular basis.
And the excuse about fighting in America been this whole different level thing is even more laughable.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 06-03-2019, 04:55 PM.

All this HW bullchit got real tiresome a long time ago. Furthermore I'm genuinely really happy for Ruiz, seems like a good dude and who doesn't love a Chubberella story? Last thing I'm looking to do is take away from his win.... 'sides which the fight game is at least as much mental as physical anyway - if a dude folds under the pressure he's lost just as surely and just as genuinely as if he got his ass boxing off by a superior technician - the physical and mental battles are inseperable.

This just further cements my opinion that Hearn as AJ promoter and Hearn as DAZN investor/employee is an incredible conflict of interest that in the long run could be very detrimental. Ruiz could've seriously injured AJ.
If this happens again they need to cancel the fight immediately.
This is unconscionable.
