He was close to the victory, it's not like his chances are low to win a rematch. I'd say go for it but make effective changes in everything. Preparation, gameplan, mindset etc.
Should Anthony take a rematch? Does he have a choice?

He has to go for the immediate rematch. If he wins the rematch, he can try to brush the loss off as a misstep that he grew from to get better.
But if he doesn't take the rematch. Haymon is going to have Ruiz fight Wilder. Then, Joshua may never get another shot, and if he does, he'll be bringing very little to the negotiating table.
Joshua needs to have a rematch by the end of 2019, and he probably needs to win by stoppage.Comment

he quit and really doesn't deserve a rematch, he should avoid it and get better he doesn't have what it takes, get a new trainer win some fights, get Robbie barrett n the gang back talking sht about how amazing he is and then maybe step up againComment

I think he should hire a new trainer and like a poster said go the Wlad route. If he wants to be the best HW in the world he needs to improve enormously especially now people realise he’s very beatable.
The problem is that Imo Wlad always had the physical attributes to be great he just may not have know how to use them properly. I think Joshua is limited physically. He body type means that he’s incredibly stiff, he doesn’t have any snap in his punches he just pushes them out and they’re telegraphed. When he gets wobbled he’s unable to box smart and he seems to lose all his energy and becomes a static target (which can last for rounds)
I personally think he’s too stiff and slow to outbox a good swarmer for 12 rounds and therefore has to open up and trade but that comes at a high risk.Comment

He needs to fix whatever's wrong, take on a bum or two, and then avenge his loss to Ruiz. It's an easy fight to make. And he probably doesn't want any part of Wilder (I wouldn't) or even Fury. Just line up Ruiz and a bunch of bums and collect your money like almost everybody else in the post-Floyd world.Comment

If he don’t rematch him immediately he will never see those belts again. Al haymon probably throwing fury to the way side and put Ruiz in there for the wilder fight after Ortiz.
I think Hearn knows this and is allready saying December and is willing to put Joshua back in there even tho Joshua might mentally not be ready because he won’t get the shot again for atleast a long time or have to deal with getting ****d by wilder in negotiations if wilder jumps at the Ruiz fight that seems allready evident.Comment
