    Was Mike Tyson chinny?

-He got stopped by Douglas who was an average puncher at best.

-Got stopped by Holyfield who wasn't particularly a big puncher at HW, most of his KOs came at cruiser, bis KO ratio at HW is only like 50%.

-Got stopped by Lewis who couldn't even put a dent in the 6'3 215lb Mavrovic's chin, and the guy was euro level.

There were also rumors saying he was getting dropped in sparring.

I mean doesn't sound like a durable guy to me, he had good defense and offense, but his durability was highly questionable.

Not at all. Watch the fights he lost. He took crazy amounts of punishment.

Almost anyone would have lost to buster douglas that night. Mike withstood a lot.

What a dumb thread. Tyson didn’t train for the Douglas fight. Post prison Tyson against Holyfield and Lewis he was a shell of his former self.

All Tyson’s losses were accumulation and fatigue. Tyson had a great chin.

Nah he was durable as hell. Even the Douglas fight he was trying to get up and fight on.

Chinny is when you go down and don't get up or get knocked down constantly even by light punchers. Amir Khan basically..

But how does a supposedly durable guy get stopped by sub par punchers?

Compared to today the punchers in the 90s don't hit as hard as this eras. LL is probably the hardest hitter from that generation & he doesn't hit as hard as Wlad who doesn't hit as hard as a Wilder or AJ, lots of vicious punchers in this generation.

If Mavrovic could eat Lewis' punches on the chin as small as he was, what does that make his chin? God like?

Absolutely not. Tyson had a fantastic chin.

Mavrovic withstood more punishment than Tyson vs Lewis though.

I'm not buying the Douglas could beat anybody that night, it's just used to rationalize how Tyson could lose like he could. The popular opinions in boxing are constantly wrong.

The only reason Douglas won that fight is because the ref gave him a long count after he was KOd. Against Holyfield, I believe Tyson was rattled that Evander was not intimidated by him at all (not to mention the constant headbutts). The Tyson that fought Lewis was basically retired and had lost his killer instinct.

I didn't like Mike at all when he was young, but no, he was not chinny at all!
