Taylor won a majority decision over Persoon, but there was plenty of doubt about whether the unbeaten Irish lightweight deserved that victory in their 135-pound title unification fight at Madison Square Garden.

She must be feeling like a thief. Deep inside she knows she got whooped. She should give back the belt

        AJ v Ruiz 2
        Taylor v Persoon 2

Already half way there to a great card in Vegas.

Screw bringing it home, you should do the rematch at the scene of the crime (US) to stop any arguments afterwards.

Great action fight did women proud. Close fight. That she wants a rematch when she doesn’t have to shows great character a true champ

Compubox stats (both total and power punches) had it 96-94 to Taylor. The problem for Person was she battered Taylor in the rounds she won but still only 10-9s. Brilliant fight and real venom from both (punches after bell, back of head etc.).

AJ v Ruiz, Canelo v Smith on big stadium double header in UK?

Right, but if you're own promoter scores it a draw, what was it really?

The decision didn't surprise me either, but I have rarely seen a fighter's face that acknowledged defeat more than Katie Taylor's at the bell. That girl was seconds from cardiac arrest.
