Stop with the AJ's excuses already

He got hurt cause he got hit by shots to the temples and behind the ears, shots he didn't see.

Ruiz was punching with AJ every time AJ threw a punch and AJ couldn't adjust. His corner kept saying throw the 1-2, ****, that's what gave Ruiz a chance to punch with AJ. Bad corner work. When somebody is punching with you there are so many things you can do to negate what they're doing, it appears AJ and his corner didn't have a clue. The first guy that decides to punch with AJ and the Brit looks lost. That doesn't look good on AJ.

You're wrong and probably didn't watch the whole telecast like I did. AJ has a 1-2 that he used to dispatch Povetkin from distance, which was an adjustment so he is capable of making adjustments. He didn't follow his corner and BOX. What opened up AJ was him going for an impressive KO. Should have went for the methodical later round KO or boring decision instead of trying to blow Ruiz out the water, against his trainer's advice.

That said, AJ only has himself to blame and the pressure to match Wilder got to him.

Povetkin was giving AJ too much respect and he was never punching WITH him (Povetkin counters once you've finished throwing your punch/punches). In the Povetkin fight AJ was leaning forward and dropping his left when he was throwing the 1-2 it's just that Povetkin couldn't capitalize on it cause he doesn't box like Ruiz

There's other factors, Povetkin won the first 5 rounds of that fight so he probably thought he was going well but he slowed down a lot in the 6th and 7th. AJ after all was being hit with right hands seemingly at will. AJ didn't have a skill advantage against either Povetkin or Ruiz. AJ is open to right hands and the left hook, and his head never moves. There's a lot there that has to be corrected so no excuses.
