What does this upset do for DAZN's subscriber base?

The fight is making shock waves through the news and social media. Will DAZN see a spike in new subscribers because of this??

As I was watching the card yesterday, I found myself wondering: who is the target audience for this??

The card was, top to bottom, a showcase for British fighters. They were playing UK hits over the PA. They even had the commentators talking about how the arena felt like England.

Naturally the upset changed things, but otherwise how can spending so much money on a card in America whose target audience is obviously the UK going to peel off enough ESPN subscribers to make DAZN work in America? I know people will reply "REAL boxing fans don't care about nationality/race/demographics" and sure, that's true, but Eddie was playing the nationality/race/demographic card yesterday, but for a demo that doesnt even exist in America.

The whole thing felt like Hearn getting a bit too greedy....

I'm not re-subscribing until probably next Canelo fight. Not much interests me and I'm a big GGG fan. DAZN should spread out their biggest fighters a little more next go around IMO. It certainly got DAZN's name out there more so that should definitely be seen as a W and more people will watch the rematch for sure (if held in the US), probably wont get as good of US live ratings if held in the UK, but never know.
