Despite some headlines, the rematch is certain.

I’ve seen some headlines about how Andy Ruiz won’t commit to an immediate rematch.

    But it’s going to happen.

In 2001, Lennox Lewis sued Hasim Rahman to enforce his rematch clause when Rahman signed to fight David Izon instead of honoring the contract.

The court ruled in Lewis’ favor and they had the rematch. I’m not sure why some papers haven’t looked this up.

Idk that the rematch is going to happen 100%. But Ruiz isn't going to decide that is the thing. Ruiz is likely handcuffed to a rematch clause.

Joshua can decide he wants to do other sh^t & watching some of the post fight presser it sounds like doing other sh^t is in play even if the lean is towards a rematch so who knows what Joshua decides to do. I think Joshua vs Fury could happen next. I think Joshua vs Whyte could happen next. I don't necessarily think Joshua vs Ruiz II is a lock even if I suspect its the overwhelming most likely next fight for both guys.
