Very very embarrassing. Hell im feeling really embarrassed for him. Most of us are guilty of looking past Ruiz, AJ fans, Wilder fans, this, if we are honest, was supposed to be a foregone conclusion. We really try not to do that in this sport but we were last night. This was his big introduction to America too, his USA coming out party, the night where he was meant to look real good.
And as far as i can tell i dont see how it could of gone any worse. Hes had an absolute shocker here and hes lost his belts too. Its a nightmare of an American debut. It will be interesting to hear the fall out from all this and see how he bounces back, or tries.Comment

It's worse than embarrassing for Joshua, I think it could be the beginning of the end. He's a busted flush, he's been getting exposed in his recent fights & it all culminated in getting destroyed by Ruiz Jr. When was the last time Joshua actually put on a good performance?
He's been getting slower, he can't take a shot, he doesn't throw big combinations in the way he used to & the guy has major stamina issues. All of this indicates that he's still fighting too heavy & needs to lose some of the muscle mass. But the worst thing from Joshua's point of view is that his powers of recovery are basically non-existant. If you hurt him, he stays hurt for a long time. We saw it against Whyte when he took a few rounds to recover from a shot, we saw it against Klitschko when he took 4 or 5 round off after getting hurt & we saw it again last night. Fighters now know, you just need to get aggressive with this guy. I bet Parker wishes he could have that fight again knowing what we know now.
It's almost like he's had what made him exciting originally trained out of him. He's too robotic now & he doesn't have the power of Wilder or the slickness of Fury. You've gotta say he's been exposed & I'm not sure he gets back to where he was, even if he wins the rematch.Comment

It looks much worse than it is just because of ruiz’s physique lol. But Ruiz should get credit, he has deceptively quick hands and feet and was the better boxer really. His all around craft in the ring was better. He may not be the greatest athlete or the best to look at, but he has boxing skills.Comment
