It was the fight of the night & I think will help get women's boxing over with more people - they both left it all in the ring. Taylor is obviously the better boxer of the two & picked some nice shots when she was able to make space for herself, but I thought Persoon was the close but clear winner with her constant pressure. They've really gotta do this one again & as soon as possible.

I hope so. We don't often do women's fights in the NSB Pick Em (Shields vs Hammer was the first), but on paper this was about the best fight that could be made in the women's sport both in terms of quality of the and significance in being a fight for the undisputed crown so I was real keen to include it despite some of the players being a little doubtful. Hopefully the drama of the fight itself will have made some converts or at least silenced some of the cynics.

Delfine had to work overtime at her job as a police officer to pay for her training camp.

Hellacious fight. I can only imagine how many fighting years that fight took away from these two fighters. 2 more of these kind of fights between them and they are both finished.
