an unbiased look at the heavyweight division after last night

Ruiz: way better than we thought. Great win and fair play young man!

AJ: thought loss but the signed were there after he's been gotten to in all his big fights and gassed hard vs Klitschko. Doesnt change the fact he has taken on many many tough opponents one after the other and has the best record at heavyweight probably still.

Wilder: classless clown for kicking AJ while he is down. May have beaten AJ if they fought but he's acting like this is his win.

Fury: best heavyweight hands down. Lineal Champ and beat Wilder and Klitschko easily. I expect him to make adjustment vs Wilder and pitch a shut out.

Heavyweight is a joke with all the ducking and politics thesedays (always the American ****ing usually, and #ToThisDay we see no exception)

Wilder screwed himself out of a 50 million dollar payday in a fight he could have won HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Anyway fair play to Andy Ruiz. Great win.

People talk of Fury like he's Floyd... ridiculous. Wilder is going to smoke him in a rematch. What's crazy is that Wilder is fighting Luis Ortiz.... Fury is fighting Tom ****ing Schwarz. Wilder behaves like a true champion and giving Ortiz a rematch is incredible, only a true champion would do something like that and put it ALL on the line when he really doesn't have to

Fury is hiding behind Top Rank and fighting German basketball players, smh.

I said ruiz was tough opponent, tougher than brazil.
You r as good as your best opponent and ruiz drew with parker. And I felt ruiz had learnt and improved from that loss

          Well said.

Let's be honest, AJ was avoiding Fury and Wilder. But Wilder didn't make any sincere overtures at fighting Joshua.

Joshua's win over Wlad (as pathetic as that was) exceeds any achievement on Wilder's resume. And while I doubt Ruiz would ever get to Wilder before Wilder would get to him, we really don't know how Wilder responds to getting hurt. Joshua didn't have an answer for Mexican Butterbean, but against Ruiz and Wlad, we saw that he gets back up. Wilder (who was on the ropes against Ortiz) won't even put himself in that kind of situation.

Fury is in a class of his own.

Just to clarify, we're hating on Wilder for not falling down now?

Still salty about Fury schooling your hero Wladimir eh? C'mon man, it's been a long time, get over it.

Wilder couldn't KO a 50% fit Fury, he ain't beating an even fitter and faster version. Deontay gets shut out in the rematch, and probably stopped.

Fury is the top dog in this division. Fact.

I think this was the best thing to have happened to the weight class, the fact that the other sides didn’t have the cojones to take this fight for 5-7 times their usual pay makes this worth it. Everyone’s one is now fucked up except Ruiz’s pay packet. And I couldn’t be more delighted for him and his team.

Exactly. Ruiz gave Joshua a lesson in boxing and also a lesson in humility. The British fans should embrace their new champion, Andy Ruiz.
