    Can a glass chin be fixed?

    If AJ's got a glass or soft chin will that always be the case?

    Is a strong chin just something you have or can it be attained with training?

    Nope but when Ruiz first hurt Joshua it looked like a temple shot. The best thing he can do is adopt a safer style.

        In the old days, warriors from the UK were able to use this, and I think Hearn will push to have these be ring-legal;

            It's not possible anymore, the grab/lean defense is highly effective on short opponents but not when a guy is your size. Lewis-Wlad got away with it because the era they fought in lacked the quality super heavies, the best guys they fought were shorties

              One can strengthen one's neck and this can improve "punch resistance" considerably (see https://www.researchgate.net/publica...ury_Prevention for example); however...Joshua already has a very thick (and presumably strong) neck and a quick google reveals that he does train it; in his case it may be that nothing can be done except to accept that he is somewhat "chinny" and learn to improve his defense, conditioning, and control of distance. A true, world-class Golovkin-Holmes-Klitschko jab, for example, would help him greatly.

                Nope if anything he will be more prone to get hurt once the chin gets cracked.

                Looks like AJ took one on the temple though. Never recovered fully from the first KD.

                Ruiz threw some fast sharp hooks. Very tight and compact.

                What’s troubling is none of those punches looked very powerful.

                After this I think he’d be in a coma if Wilder hit him.

                  Like Lennox Lewis and Wlad and RIP to the Great Manny Steward, when you use your Damn Size Properly and use your Jab, this does help keep people away from your damn Suspect Chin

                  AJ has to blow it all up, sorry but McCracken needs to GO ASAP! Still having Stamina issues, he looks Slower and Stiffer than ever vs Andy so it is time for Major Changes. Also He is SOFT mentally which tells me he has a bunch of Yes Men with absolutely nobody to tell him to MAN THE F#CK UP! Also he is extremely SOFT Physically on the INSIDE. All those muscles and he gets pushed around on the inside and he gets out-worked on the inside it is pathetic to watch honestly

                  They let you fight on the inside here in America, it is no Howard Foster here to stop the action when you look over at him AJ. So he is going to have to make some serious changes, I don't see Andy with a Full Camp being any easier in a rematch either. That dude is so QUICK!

                    Does Joshua's weak chin add more proof that long faces are chinny compared to rounder faces?
