"The public does not want to see Ruiz" - Jim Grey

“With all due respect to these other opponents, the public does not want to see Ruiz, the public does not want to see Dominic Breazeale, the public does not want to see whoever this guy is that’s fighting Tyson Fury.” - Jim Grey - 5/18/2019

I thought this was one of the most disrespectful comments said by a commentator and it's bittersweet that Ruiz one. I wanted to see Wilder vs Joshua, but now I also get to see Jim Grey look like more of a fool than he initially looked like by saying this, thanks to Ruiz upset win.

It was a disgustingly disrespectful comment from Grey, and not just to the fighters. There were people at that fight that had paid thousands for their tickets. And the people watching at home paying for Showtime and spending their Saturday night watching the fight too.... they're all chumps for tuning in I guess? Jesus Christ.

I usually like Jim, but that was a bad moment.

In hindsight yes...but if aj won u would have forgot about it...and at the time he wasn't lying

And he was interviewing Wilder on Wilders network basically saying we want aj v. Wilder asap....so I don't know why people are still crying about this

Who wants a fat slob representing the best of the best ?

Jim's comment wasn't aimed specifically at anyone.

A non-fighter should never be that disrespectful to the boxers. It was a slap in the face to Beeazeale who had just been hurt and to Andy Ruiz how now holds 3 of the 4 major belts.

What about Stephan A calling Ruiz butterbean and disrespecting him on twitter

But let’s be honest no one really wanted to see any of those fights and no one still wants to see the fury fight.
