I didn't expect the outcome of what Ruiz power would do to Joshua. Even after Ruiz was knocked down I thought it might be over. Ruiz even let Joshua sort of rest up a couple rounds but it wasn't enough. Once Ruiz closed in he did massive damage. I'm happy he won.
So, does Andy Ruiz now pass your 'eye test'?

All jokes aside. It just looks funny because of his build..but he showed tremendous skill, and i'm not saying that as an overreaction. As someone whose never really watched him fight before this. His Hand speed, defense, lateral movement, and gameplan thoroughly impressed me.Comment

We were talking about this specific KD.
Yeah Wilder can catch him but so can Joshua. You guys are acting like Wilder doesn't get caught. He does and he's usually the first one to get caught before he fires his own shots.Last edited by Szef; 06-02-2019, 03:52 AM.Comment

That's a nice catch. When AJ tried to clinch him, Ruiz started lighting him up on the inside. He was catching Joshua a lot at AJ's mid range but when they went truly inside AJ looked unprepared for that the way he reacted to the punches. Mexicans can always fight on the inside.Comment

Breezy couldn't, Stiverne couldn't, Harrison couldn't, etc.
Ortiz did, but Ortiz is and always has been a better boxer than Joshua.
Besides that, Joshua is an accumulation guy, just like Crawford and Spence. He's not one punch KO. Wilder clearly is.
Match that against a guy already proven not to be able to take Wilder's SleepMatic, and the fight writes itself. You already know it.Comment

No. He loses wide to Fury and get KOed brutally by Wilder walk off style. I fully expect Joshua to win the rematch via boring decision boxing safe just like Kovalev did against Alvarez.Last edited by Mister Wolf; 06-02-2019, 09:30 AM.Comment
