That was a long ass count too. He was up at 8, strolled to the corner, had a rest leaning on the ropes, didn't show any urgency to continue and who knows what he said to the ref? Didn't look good but I think AJ was buzzed from the first knockdown. Watching his post-fight interview he's not making much sense.

Exactly. The stoppage was perfect. When a fighter spits it out deliberately, you stop it.
