Comments Thread For: Trainer: Ruiz, Breazeale Very Different Opponents For Joshua

Manny Robles believes he has a much better chance of guiding his challenger to an upset of Anthony Joshua on Saturday night than the last time one of his fighters faced the huge heavyweight champion. Robles was Dominic Breazeale's trainer when the then-undefeated contender traveled to London to square off against Great Britain's biggest boxing star in June 2016. Joshua knocked down Breazeale twice and beat Breazeale by seventh-round technical knockout at O2 Arena.

I see this fight being similar to Lennox Lewis vs David Tua. Joshua will just jab him & stay outside. Ruiz is tough so i expect a wide UD for Joshua...

What were his choices ******? He's already beaten povetkin, brezeale, whyte,Parker. Tried to schedule a rematch with whyte who declined. Was scheduled to fight miller who drugged. Wilder and fury have fights scheduled and the network dispute. So who would of been a better pic who was available and would accept? Better than ruiz? Ortiz declined who are we left with? Unproven unknown prospects like efe or hrgovic..makes No sense for a US debut never mind their unknown status. So actually. It was Joshua as always fighting credible opponents and it caught up with him. People critiquing his resume are deluded lunatics he's fought everyone except fury and wilder, ones only just returned and been unavailable and the other has been awkward to deal with and was a fight in the classic marinating position. He's got a list of ten good guys on his record with a much shorter and fewer fight career than povetkin, fury, Wilder. Gold medallist and unified champ the guys had a good run. I am a fury fan above all but people act like AJ is some paper champ and has fought No one are weirdos, he clearly has a great resume and takes challenging fights.
