What she needs to do is link with one of the top promoters/advisors and accept co-promotional deals for the time being. If not, then she has no other chance of surviving. Why sign with Main Events when they have no network deal?

Granted, if you are the fighter not sure why you would want to sign with Main Events instead of just one of the top promoters from the get go. But this is what she needs to do...Already is doing it with the Kovalev/TR deal.

HBO used her as a puppet in their war against Haymon. And she was soldiering out in front with the whole Stevenson Kovalev situation. I said it back then that she should’ve sided with Haymon and tried to squeeze more money out of HBO. Now look at her. Starve N@gga.

Nice interview. Much respect to Kathy Duva. Main Events has done a lot of great things for boxing, especially in the northeast. After Kovalev retires though I don't know what she will do. Its tough being a small promoter right now.

HBO Boxing was very important for the sport of boxing and especially for a Promoter like Duva, they helped create New STARS in the sport. I never wanted HBO Boxing Gone, just Jim Lampley

but Boxing as a whole does suffer without HBO showing boxing in the US. Game Of Thrones was getting 19-20 Million views, would've been great to have them running boxing Promos before and after Game of Thrones

I'm sure HBO have ZERO regrets getting out of Boxing now seeing how AVERAGE Live Attendance and Ratings are all across the board

Good Luck to Duva, maybe DAZN or ESPN+ can give her a few dates

It'd be awesome to have a prospect oriented, shobox style program on NBC. I hope she finds a provider for said series on another platform. UFC Fight Pass? DAZN? Some other sports network? Best of luck to Kathy and Main Events!

Main Events was so big when I was a kid. Then they seemed to become irrelevant for a long time.

Kovalev was their saving grace. Getting them back on to HBO. They did a great job of leveraging Kovalev to get HBO dates. I always figured that's why they couldn't afford to do the Stevenson fight. Had Kovalev lost, HBO wouldn't have needed Main Events anymore. With HBO gone, Main Events may never recover.
