Comments Thread For: Salita: Shields, Not Taylor, Greatest Women's Boxer Of All Time

Dmitriy Salita respects Katie Taylor and everything she has accomplished in just 13 professional fights. Salita still disagrees with how Taylor's promoter has characterized Taylor's place in the history of women's boxing. Eddie Hearn declared earlier this week that Taylor is the best female fighter to ever box, a distinction Salita is certain belongs to the undefeated, unified middleweight champion his company promotes.

    No, it's still Cecilia Braekhus.

She's been undisputed champ since Taylor and Shields were in the amateurs for crying out loud.

Shields easily. She’s whoop a lot of non boxing men. Shields has fought very good opponents and two olympics. I don’t think it’s close.

Statements like this are just ******. Shield's might whoop some little 5'3 weakling's like yourself but the likelihood of her beating full grown men in a street fight is minimal.

Men are twice if not 3X stronger than women and in a street fight where grappling is involved is totally different than boxing. So once she get's grabbed or hit solid. Fight is over.

Gotta realize Spence may be a big welterweight, but he's an average sized man. Shields said herself he was way too strong when they sparred and he probably wasn't even trying.

I still say Lucia Rijker BUT I do think Shields is the best today, she has Accomplished A LOT already and is still only 24 years old so yeah at this pace by the time she retires she will be considered The Greatest Women Boxer Ever

Katie is good too no doubt about that
