Marv, not sure what fans you are talking about, but as a boxing fan, I would admire Inoue unifying 118 then going for belts at 122.

I've got nothing against Nery, I'm no more pro/anti Nery than I am Inoue or anyone else at 118, I just think Inoue is getting it done while Nery is on the fringe due to weight/PED issues and has yet to really prove he's the guy at 118.

I can't see Inoue and Nery crossing paths right now, Inoue will likely unify and move up, then Nery has the opportunity to scrap it out for one or more of the vacant belts, and then we'll see what he is really made of, and if he takes a belt or two, then I'm on board with Nery once he takes out one or more of the top guys at 118. Payano isn't one of those guys, and maybe that's not Nery's fault given Nery is pretty much out of the picture in the jostle for the top honours at the moment, but that's squarely on Nery and noone else for missing weight and losing his belt, and not being where he should be, which is in the WBSS where 118 is playing out.

As for what 'the fans' will demand - if Inoue unifies 118, the demand will be 'show us what you got vs Navarette/Vargas/Roman at 122', Inoue vs Nery will be far behind Inoue vs Navarette in terms of what fans want to see.

I really like the idea of Nery going to 122 and having a date with Rigo though, that would place him for a shot at a belt at 122, then he's on Inoue's radar once he sets his sights on 122.

Only way Nery vs Inoue happens is if Nery does something to get in Inoue's way - right now he's not, and only way he can step into Inoue's path is to go up and get a belt at 122 before Inoue gets there.

Again, Nery had opportunities to be in Inoue's way already, either by making weight vs Yamanaka, or being in the WBSS, and he did neither, so 118 is playing out without him, and no fault to anyone but Nery.

You're the one going bye bye. But you'll go back on it and make your excuses saying it was a robbery or something. I guarantee it. You won't keep your word because you're dishonest and a punk.

But trust me, Taylor is going to win. We beat the Americans most of the time. This is just another one of their hypes we have to deal with. You and the Americans will be calling him a bum soon to try and downplay the win. It's all like clockwork. So yeah, see you soon. I'm looking forward to it.

        Lol

Nery looked like sh.it when he went down 3 pounds. He looked drained

Cut weight in that way is dangerous to the life of fighters
Until that fight didn't Nery fight his whole career at 118? So cutting weight is dangerous for Nery but not Yamanaka? Are you really this blinded by racism? Really?

Face your hero is a PED cheat and a weight bully.

We beat the Americans most of the time? GTFOH with that shyte. For every fight you can name where a Brit beat an American, I can name 10 that went the other way. 1776 was a looooooooong time ago, get the f&ck over it already(who won that war anyway?)

Same reason Inoue won't fight Nery as Nery doesn't bring anything to the table. Inoue will try unify with Oubaali and Tete, then go to 122 if all the trinkets taken care of at 118. Nery will then either stay behind at 118 to pick up one fo the vacated belts, or if he really wants Inoue, he needs to go to 122 now and get a belt so that Inoue has to go through him to get it later. If Nery goes to 122 later, Nery still won't be bringing anything to the table as Inoue will be fighting belt-holders.

Bottom line, Nery has to get a belt to become relevant (and only he is to blame for not making weight in Japan and losing the one he had).
Not only that but you can't count on Nery passing the PED test of making weight

Lennox Lewis: Briggs, Tyson, Holyfield x2, Mercer, Morrison, Grant, Rahman, McCall and Tucker.

Joe Calzaghe: Lacy, Hopkins, Sheika, Brewer, Mitchell and Jones.

Naseem Hamed: Johnson, Sanchez and Kelley.

              Carl Froch: Taylor and Dirrell.

Nigel Benn: McClellen, Dewitt, Sims and Williams.

              Kell Brook: Porter.

              David Haye: Ruiz.

              Tyson Fury: Wilder.

              AJ: Martin and Brezeale.

Khan: Malignaggi, Peterson (Yes, he won that fight and Peterson was also on PED's) Alexander and Judah.

Ricky Hatton: Philips, Malinaggi and Collazo.

These are just from the last 40 years and no further otherwise it just takes too much time. Plus, we've got video to check for any corruption or what not. They have to be good wins or better. Decent isn't included. If you try, i'll bring not only a lot more good wins or better, i'll bring a shlt ton of decent wins as well.

37 wins here so you need 10 times that. Good luck as you're going to need it. Or you can just duck like Americans do naturally?
