Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois: "Slobby" Gorman Will Never Be Exciting To Watch!

NORMALLY meek Daniel Dubois has lashed out at the shape of bitter domestic rival Nathan Gorman. The unbeaten pair clash for the vacant British heavyweight title at The o2, London on Saturday July 13. Gorman (16-0, 11KOs) has shown that looks can be deceiving impressing with his speed and skills since turning professional under trainer Ricky Hatton.

'Shots fired' doesn't seem approriate, more 'handbag swung'.

I’m not looking forward to an hour of Frank and BT talking about how great it is that he’s matching up his best prospects.

No disrespect to my UK bros

But if Gorman is anything like most UK guys I start hearing about out of nowhere...he absolutely sucks, will get KOed whenever he steps up, and thus Dubois will KO him easy.

The UK still turns out some great fighters...Fury and Joshua are in that category. Froch Saunders some others. Then there are some like Eubank etc who get hyped up but aren't quite world level.

Then you get some on the bottom end who get really hyped up, then when they step up they get obliterated. As I alluded to, usually the good ones, you hear about a little bit ahead of time.

Liam Walsh, Liam Smith, basically anyone named Liam will get overhyped I guess.

Just how it is - there is money in boxing in the UK - so there will always be hype for their fighters. For many it is justified, for many it is not.

This is a true step up fight for both guys. Not like that hype job Joe Joyce fighting damage goods.
