Wilder wasn't given credit for that win and he wants to redeem himself.

His detractors claim that Ortiz would've won if Wilder hadn't been saved by the bell, plus they say the ref gave him extra time and helped him recover.

I don't agree... but in defense of Ortiz, he hurt Wilder more than any other opponent in his career, and I had him winning the fight on points before the 10th round. So if anyone deserves a rematch, it's King Kong Ortiz.

Wilder is planning to talk with AJ following his June 1st fight. The two of them need to discuss a few things man to man without any interference from their team members. Then, when they're ready, they can give the green light to their promoters. They already have ideas for the fight location, venue, date, tour, etc. They're already working on the super fight... the gears have been set into motion, and they're going to make an official announcement later this year.

I can think of no logical reason although I am not a big Wilder fan. He looked very impressive KOing Breazeale. I think he can probably beat AJ but he must fight him to beat him.

Wilder fans don't want the fight with Joshua to happen. I have zero interest in a rematch with Ortiz at this point. He is a year older and was 100lbs overweight in the ring after the Breazeale fight. Wilder KO's him even quicker in a one sided rematch.

Joshua and Wilder are in their primes right now and they needed to fight. Wilder wouldn't even negotiate with Joshua, him and his team rushed to get this fight signed so no negotiations could take place.

            Pure and simple. Money.

His cult fans defend him no matter what and his team are experienced people that still see the AJ fight growing.

I think Ortiz deserves a rematch, so I’m not gonna complain about this fight too much.

Both of them having sick daughters is not a good reason to not fight AJ next. How can the second fight be epic and equal trilogy when they only fought once?????? You seem confused.

you guys are delusional if you dont think eddie hearn would like to wait till next year also

hearn is just running his lips to save face and keep interest in AJ....hearn would rather wait to take that "gamble" just like his daddy advised

im convinced both sides are in on it right now....but wilder did try to make the fight last year only to be rebuffed a couple of times...oh well...it is what it is...ortiz still a top 5 guy.....what top 5 HW is AJ fighting?

You realize that if Wilder accepted the 3 fight DAZN offer he would be fighting Joshua this year right?
