Wilder was knocked out when he was still a kid and was still yet to fully grow out his body. That, I'm afraid, is clutching at straws and is totally irrelevant today where he has fully grown out and filled out his body.

Today (not in the past), he is as close to knockout-proof as humanly possible. A stronger puncher than everyone in the past that dropped him, in Luis Ortiz, had hundreds of his best shots bouncing off his chin with 0 effect, almost to the point where Wilder was begging Ortiz to deliver even more punches with even more power but Ortiz just didn't have it in him, and was inflicting more harm to himself than Wilder by gassing himself out and risking breaking his hand permanently on granite chinned Wilder.

Seriously, the only result that happens when any so called 'puncher' (as nobody is a puncher compared to Wilder) faces Wilder, is they break their hand or gas out if they try too hard because it's impossible to KO Wilder.

    Yeah, sure.

That's why not only did he get dropped and hurt in the amateurs but he also got dropped by Sconiers, got hurt by Molina, Ortiz, stunned by Fury, got worked over and wobbled by Haye in sparring, etc., etc...

Wilder is a great fighter, of course and I'm a fan of his too. Same as I'm a fan of Joshua. They have chin flaws though.

We're not talking about a David Tua chin here on either of these guys.

You literally ignored the crux of my previous comment. Those knockdown moments were when he wasn't fully grown into his body. Ergo, they are irrelevant right now as he has fully grown into his body now.

Or are you going to pretend physical body growth doesn't improve durability? You do realize Wilder was literally a freaking cruiser weight when he was dropped during those times?

Getting 'stunned' is totally subjective. Getting dropped and / or KO'ed is objective. Fact is, Wilder is yet to be dropped even once, ever since he fully grew into his frame. For all those 'stun' moments, why wasn't Wilder dropped by Fury, Ortiz, Molina and by all those other guys if his chin was that bad? EXACTLY!

So until Wilder is actually dropped or KO'ed, my point stands, which is that he is as close to knockout proof as one can get.

Is it now fair to officially crown and laber Wilder as the true and only legitimate unbeatable athlete in the history of all sports, and not just boxing.

If it's impossible to KO him because of his other-worldly granite chin, rivaling the likes of Vitali Klitschko, making him knockout-proof, and has power that is literally a million, and I mean a million times above Wladimir Klitschko (who he makes look like a total feather fist with the power of a little girl, despite being a respectable puncher compared to any other heavyweight), then how can one even HOPE to possibly beat him? That's right! It's IMPOSSIBLE folks!

NO BOXER IN HUMAN HISTORY WOULD'VE BEATEN DEONTAY WILDER!

Deontay Wilder = the undisputed number 1 head to head!

We're going to need a post-human athlete in the future to surpass Deontay Wilder, who is at the very least, at the absolute pinnacle of human power, athleticism, stamina, and durability. All past boxers are pure trash and fodder to the athletic specimen that is Wilder!

Once a weak chin always a weak chin but because the current hw era is trash he's dominant in this ERA.

            Wilder is king of boxing.

Learn it, accept it, appreciate it.

When AJ gets smashed, he'll feel honored.

He'll be able to say he lost to the greatest of all time.

This is the most dominant ERA ever and Wilder's 'weak chin' was only because he was still a little kid and wasn't fully grown. A fully grown current Wilder has a near unbreakable granite chin of the highest order.

The heavyweight division is a joke compared to previous years

He's been koed and dropped many times in the amateurs by a russian.

Right now, his body has fully grown and filled his frame so now, nobody can KO him.

Previous reports out of the Klitschko camp was that Wlad dropped Wilder several times in sparring. Wilders chin is solid, but nothing exceptional, like another poster said its his heart that carries him through, he was on the verge of being KOed by Ortiz before the round ended.

Make no mistake about it, Wilder will be KOed sooner or later, and it might be against a Andy Ruiz type of character. None of the current top heavyweights have a world class chin.
