Can’t make the mistake they did last year putting 168 finals where nobody really cared.

How would the 118lbs finals sell in Vegas compared to boxing crazy japan where Inoue is already a celebrity?

thought they wanna expand his promotion in the USA and turn him into a household name here?

I think it was Coppinger or Kim said Richard Schaeffer said that LA and Vegas were the front runners so far?

Better option to turn him into a household name here would be after the tournament, put him in against someone who has a big following. Donaire is a pretty big name in the division, but is he the guy?

Donaires probably the biggest name around his weight class. ND has fought on HBO numerous times and they did all those features on him and his backstory.

I think ND even being able to speak English got him way farther than a lot of the Mexican and Latin fighters around those lower weight classes who can't speak English and do interviews and features (well without a translator) we all know in the USA if you can speak English you will go farther here (ex: Cotto, GGG trying as best as he can, Pac, etc)

But yeah having Inoue knocking out guys in prime time USA is better than having it on some weird 10AM fight time because its in Europe or Asia.

If its in LA thats best as there's a shat ton of asians here. Vegas is good too.

Someone said they are breaking up the WBSS into 3 separate fight dates and 3 months: September, October, and November.

Ideally I'd like the fight to go in October because if it goes in September then Canelo will probably take all the hype away and most will focus on his fight instead of Inoue.

November seems to long from now and most are already shopping for Xmas already by then.

Good points. I don’t know if they split the finals up like that though, because last year season 2 began in September (the day after season 1 ended) and I’ve heard (hope) they have plans for a third season?
