Why in every TV ratings thread for US fights do fans make excuses like..........

    There was a UFC card.
    There was a NBA game.
    A NFL game.

It's literally every thread that mentions TV ratings. Yes there's other sport events happening at the weekend all over the world, you can't use it as an excuse when it's every week. When is there a card that doesn't go up against another sport?

Boxing just isn't top priority in America anymore.when I was growing up there were boxing clubs on every block in the 90s.which is why we were so dominant.but know alot of those clubs been extinct. We just don't eat sleep and breathe boxing anymore like u British.now we replaced those boxing clubs with basketball courts and football fields lol

Or even better, when they claim that boxing does relatively well in the UK because we have no other sports competing with it. The ignorance is astounding

lol... the brits never breath boxing, not now not ever. they breathe soccer, after that is cricket then after that came rugby as the third popular sport. boxing always outside the top 10 even tennis, badminton and athletic are more popular in uk

The biggest sports in Britain are:

              1. Football
              2. Rugby
              3. Tennis
              4. F1

Then in the tier below that you have (it's personal preference over which is most popular, I put boxing at 5 because I'm a fan):

              5. Boxing
              6. Golf
              7. Cricket
              8. Snooker
              9. MMA
              10. NFL

So at best, boxing is only 5th biggest.

And yet ****** americans insist their primitive champion who can only sell 6000 seats deserves 50-50 with the second or first biggest star in the sport.

I'm not a cricket fan so I don't know, I only ever hear about it whenever the ashes roll around, although I know the one dayers and IPL are popular. And I hope you're joking with badminton claim

Damn, I forgot about darts, that might even be more popular than boxing.
