Has Jared Hurd been figured out completly?

It seems like in every Hurd fight he banks on loseing the early rounds relys on his chin to tire his oppents out while countering to the body then in later rounds he goes into full war to out brawl his opponent.

He is very dangerous fighter but his strategy seems to risky plus he dosent have plan b what could his corner do better?

I think he overlooked williams. Also the weight cut might be affecting him more and more

I mean there was nothing to really figure out.

Any decent boxer with some punching power just needs good enough stamina and a solid chin, Lara beat him as well. Harrison was beating him then tired out, same with Trout.

I've been rooting against this guy for a couple years but don't be fooled by that last fight. He obviously wasn't himself. Wasn't fighting the same at all. He clearly didn't take it seriously, and I suspect there was an issue with his training/weight because he was off.

I'll be rooting for Jrock next time but am not confident in picking him because Hurd, as basic and sloppy as he is, is better than what we saw in that last fight.

              Your absolutely right
He didn’t look or perform like his old self
I do believe it has much to do with weight cutting
It just caught up to him

^Yea. Everyone wants to act like, "of course this happened" but I don't think it's that easy. I've been Hurd's biggest critic but this was more than just bad technique.

A lot of drained fighters lean in like that, and fail to use movement because they don't have the strength. Hurd usually creates problems with his range but he wasn't doing it at all. He was playing to Jrock's game. Watching the Laura fight, it's inexplicable that he'd fight the way he did against Williams if there wasn't something else going on.

Cutting too much weight and then taking punishment is guaranteed to shorten a career. Hurd should move up and work on improving his boxing.

He’s not that good. He’s so big at 154 he swallows punches and wears his opponent down. He loses something every fight. He’s the black Margarito.
