The thing is Shyte doesn't actually fight any of these tough fights.

He's been ordered to fight Ortiz and Pulev to get Wilder...but he keeps squirming out of doing so. Crying and complaining the whole time about what big meanies the WBC are.

I see what Team Whyte are trying to do here. If Fury pass on it then the WBC would have to do what they did with Breazeale. It’s a gamble doe, you never know what Fury would do next. If he accepts it then it’s over for Whyte lol. Am sure Wilder and the WBC would be happy.

Whyte doesn't have to beat Fury to benefit. It's a massive fight regardless. It would sell out 02 Arena, and do big numbers on PPV.

He might take a huge step up from Schwarz and take on Helenius or Ustinov! Lol

It's ridiculous and a main reason boxing as a sport cannot make the jump to Mainstream America. All about that money for these "sanctioning" authorities. "Hey we can make you a champion, just pay X amount and here ya go..."

^was just going to ask why is Fury so dead set on the Whyte fight being for the WBC Diamond belt?

And if the Diamond belt is such a sticking point, the WBC should OK it. Whyte and Fury are #1 and #2 in the WBCs HW rankings, obviously a fight between them gets your next mandatory for Wilder

I hope Fury accepts that fight!! It will be epic! I just don't know if he will though. He's already said he doesn't let anyone tell him what to do.
