Pac isn't the same one dimensional fighter that JMM fought 2 years ago. That being said, JMM might still be able to outbox him enough for the win but Pacquiao with his better arsenal of punches has a better chance of still landing some shots.
What about Marquez?

Then, ask yourself if Pacquiao has improved? Pacquiao's last performances have proven he's better than ever.
I'm not saying JMM wouldn't have a chance, but I definitely wouldn't favor him.Comment

And its not hate, its called calling it how I see it. I remember Marquez from his day at the Great Western Fourm and the KCAL Fight Nights television his fights, Im very familiar with Marquez and know what his is capable of and Pacquiao found out first hand. Roach keeps screaming for Barrera but he's silent when is comes to getting a rematch with Marquez who now has a new manager making a deal between Pacquiao and Marquez that much easier.Comment

when he signed the contract to fight there, his fight plan should be for a KO or a 'DOMINATING PERFORMANCE' he shouldve expected that.
John won a few rounds and i think thats enough for the homeboy to 'win'Comment

i agree with ferocity fredddie roach always mentions barrera as he is a big name but past his best
Pacquiao nuthuggers never seem 2 actually comment on the marquez fight they seem2 just keep sayin pacman has improved .but he wont beat marquez
marquez was the first fighter like tarver against jones taylor against hopkins to stick a jab in front of pacman all night long with pamans chlish lunges making him look amateurish
marquez easy ud 12 somethin like 117-110Comment

Marquez lost to Chris John, not by robbery, after all the officials were not Indonesians. Chris John was the better fighter that night. Marquez was penalized for punching below the belt, the ref was doing his job, so u can't blame Chris John, the ref, or the judges, blame Marquez for the point deduction.
As far as Pac vs Marquez 2004 fight, one judge scored the 1st round 10-7 instead 10-6. And for those ur saying JMM school Pac, i don't call punching below the belt as outboxing an opponent(which he should have been penalize for that, did it a couple times).
We know Pac lost to Morales by UD, but its not exactly one sided beat down. They have rematches because of either controversial decision or it was a battle, ex. Gatti-Ward, Barrera-Morales, Castillo-Corralles. If it is a 1 sided win, then the 1st fight, EM should have won by 5 points or more.
Pac might be 1 dimensional fighter, but he has worked and improved on his weaknesses, and his at the top right because he is willing to go toe to toe with anybody. I can't say that about JMM, yeah he wanted more money, but look at his fights after Pac, its not exactly a good resume when he was pound for pound top 10 fighter. Barrera-Juarez fight should have been a draw. Barrerea also stated wanted to fight Pac, then signging to fight Juarez. Erik Morales, i can't say anything bad about him, yeah he talk thrash, but he goes into the ring and gave his all.Last edited by loui_ludwig; 07-18-2006, 08:19 AM.Comment

JMM needs to fight Barrera and Morales as well as Pacman. Then perhaps, he'll get the money he deserves. I bet he beats Barrera and Morales, though.Comment
