Well how were the first bums able to win the titles anyway? bum vs. bum fights? Well I beleive Jones got caught with a lucky punch in the 2nd fight and Jones seemed more worried about staying on his feet then trying to get his revenge.

In my opinion, if Roy didn't have a confidence problem I think he could've pulled out the 3rd fight of their trilogy. Valuev is the most padded boxer i've ever seen, but he's just a puppet to his promoter to make money.

You can be critical of Floyd if you want to, but his resume reads like a murderer's row compared to RJJ. The guys RJJ won titles off of do not compare to the modest careers of Judah and Gatti. I see Judah and Gatti as good contenders... they both have some skill but not enough to be great champs. Also, RJJ was never went through the tests that Floyd went through at 130/135. You said it yourself his 2 toughest fights Hopkins and Toney were tainted (Toney out of shape; Hopkins too young).

hopkins was fighting longer then roy when they fought and was scared to fight the second time because he didnt want to move up in weight

I'm pretty sure the Cintron fight was on Friday Night Fights with good old Teddy Atlas

Tony has only headlined one PPV card and that was his last fight versus Gomez.

No doubt that Hopkins had more professional fights, but realistically, who was the more groomed fighter? The guy who had swept through the Olympics and amateur ranks or the guy who started boxing after he was relesaed from prison. I actually am not insulting RJJ more than protecting Floyd. You can say whatever you want about these two but there is no denying that they are two of our generations most talented boxers. Both can be accused of not making the most exciting fights for the fans, but that shouldn't detract from commending them on great skill.
