That's the only thing I can think of why Danny and his team would reach out to WBO to gain ranking. If true that's great news because I much rather see Danny vs Crawford fight then Mikey Garcia vs Danny Garcia which has been speculated.

Didn’t they do the same thing with Andy Ruiz before the Joshua announcement? I don’t think he was in the top ten. Then like a fly he was in their next ranking.

Just saw your post. If Mikey is now ranked by WBA too then more smoke he is fighting Mikey not Crawford. Maybe Danny is just trying to get leverage throw his hat for the WBO title and see if Arum offers him money so he can go back to Haymon to get more. But everything still points to Garcia vs Garcia next.

Better move for Danny if he fights Crawford. Low risk/high reward fight.

High risk has nothing to do with which fighter is better. Of course Crawford is better than Mikey Garcia, dummy.

If Danny loses to Crawford it’s no big deal losing to a top 3 P4P fighter, if he wins he gets more money and accolades. Losing to Mikey after he got 12-0’d would be a disaster for Danny. If he beats Mikey nobody would care.
