It was a very bad performance against Lomachenko but I don't get the inactivity afterwards. I think he still had a lot to offer but if he's tied down to one of them Top Rank slave contracts then he's gonna have to wait that out. If not and he went up to 200+ lbs again then that's on him.

Rule of thumb, if a fighter is out for more than 18 months with no news that's the time to worry. It has been over 2 years. Nobody cares about him though, too bad. Maybe he will still come back like Viktor Postol eventually did.

I heard he is in Jamaica, lost the hunger for boxing. Got fat and enjoying his money with the ladies. I don't blame him. Getting hit in the face isn't fun to be honest. Especially when you have no fans calling you champ.

I found Walters to be one of those guys like Broner and Linares who leaves me scratching my head over the hype they receive. His main claim to fame was beating aging Darchinyan and Donaire who were fighting in a division they didn't belong. He's a capable fighter but nothing special in my eyes and looked lackluster against Sosa (even though he should have gotten the W) prior to Loma.

Seems like his heart wasn't in it.

Be careful...you could hurt your hands hitting that keyboard so hard.

Probably the same thing happened to Joshua Clottey. Casuals can take you getting KTFO every time as long as you seem to give it your all in the ring. But quitting is a big No-No for them. It's a tough business for sure. For one moment, you think you may have survived the whole fight through cowardice only to find out your career might not.

Victim of the ****ty fanbase of boxing, bullying the man for having a bad fight against a great fighter.

i think he was probably done after the draw with jason sosa. he came back for one final payday against loma and we all saw what happened.

pretty sure hes' done. that was in 2016

Just the same that happened to Mike Jones back in 2012 against Bailey. Well, at least Walters became a world champ.
