Let the kid make a stop at 122 lbs .
There are 3 Good Champions there that I think he matches up pretty well with . Navarette , Danny Roman and WBC Champion Rey Vargas ( who I see being his toughest style because of his height and length ) .
Couldn't agree more. I rate Inoue as an extraordinary talent, mix of skill, speed, power, what's not to like ? But it feels a bit like a hype-train set off at some point here.

It was only Jan 2018 that he moved to 118 amid some catcalls from the cheap-seats that he was ducking the guys at 115 and a lot of 'we'll see - depends who he fights at 118'. Well here we are 16 months later and other than Nery (and no fault of Inoue for that), everyone who counts has been on the menu depending on how other bouts played out.

Point being he's still answering all the questions asked of him at 118 just 16 months ago, so does indeed feel a bit rushed to be talking 126 already while still busy at 118. And I know he's pretty old now (like Donaire), but isn't there a little Cuban guy at 122 who needs to be dealt with first ?

Another year cleaning out 118, then start cleaning out 122 feels the way to go....then maybe 126 depending on how it went at 122.

All he can do is win a tournament. No need to face every fighters if his goal is different. It's not his fault that they didn't advance because of freak injuries or didn't participate.

The hype is insane though. I'm still reserving judgement. He's special and what he's doing is impressive but people talk like this guy is the next coming of pac.

If he can't get nery next I want to see him move up to 122. I hope they decide to have a wbss at that weight too. They should just follow him around because he's good tv.

He'll stop everyone at 118 and 122, he already is a much better boxer than PAC.

He also looks to place his power shots, nothing much is wasted.

I like the comparison to Pac- it's hard not to make it since Pac is 5' 6.5". Like others have said here, I'd like to see Inoue at 122. Dude is awesome to watch.

Hard to compare to Pac as he has a different build, and can't power all the way up to 147 like Pac did.

Need check on boxrec where Pac was at 26, but vaguely remember he was already fighting at higher weights.

Pac was also seen as left hand dependent early on, something Roach worked on with him to balance him out, whereas Inoue looks balanced in every department already. I was thinking before the latest WBSS round that while Rodriguez, Taylor, Bara all had visible flaws in their overall game, havn't yet put a finger on any flaw in Inoue yet. Hard to think of any boxer in history who has despatched 3 world champions back-to-back in only 4 rounds.

Bad title. Inoue's KO was not one shot. He knocked his opponent down about 3 times, and the cat got up several times. Once Wilder's opponent went down, he didn't beat the count.

It's crazy this article focuses on a 118 lb fighter with a headline like that. What it didn't mention is how this kid gets stronger everytime he steps up in weight. Also his inteligence. Incredibly smart in the ring. When Rodriguez had him going backward for 3 of the 4 minute fight, it didn't look like nothing but a concern. By the time I realized it was a tactic, he struck! Gotta learn how to say AWSOME in Japanese..oh yea MONSTER!

These boxing hipsters in here pushing yet another midget using Wilder's name to clout chase. Inoue's knockout wasn't even comparable to Wilder's vicious KO, and that's an understatement. Sometime's people's motivations are just too obvious. There's no HBO now, hyping midgets when the heavyweight division is hot isn't going to work.
