Gattis power is more startling but i think cotto has more power overall. His opponents faces show more damage then gattis opponents do, but sometimes power has nothing to do with itComment

Id say Gatti has a better shot to one punch ko his opponent.
Cotto just thows LOTS of very hard shots and wears his opponents down.Comment

Well even we haven't seen Cotto's power at 147lbs so its hard to judge. But I think that Cotto's punches are much heavier but Gatti's punches are more explosive.
Cotto's punches are very heavy leading to his ability to wear down opponents similar to George Foreman who had very heavy punches.
Gatti is more of the Tyson, Freitas type of power in that it can knock you down with 1 punch if it lands well but does less cumalitive damage than the heavy punchers.
Overall though I would say Cotto is the harder puncher, but Gatti has carried his power up through the weight classes extremely well.Comment
