Why does anybody go near Virgil Hunter??????

Im not asking for Hunter to be some super coach who guides a fighter to unlikely victories. My money was on Wilder all the way on Saturday, i predicted a KO in 4 or 5 rounds. I knew Breazeale has a sloppy defense and lazy hands that dont want to travel back to gaurd after being thrown. I know Wilder is better than Breazeale and i didnt expect Virgil Hunter to pull off some master stroke.

But when Breazeale stepped out for that 1st round he just did everything wrong, he gave himself to Wilder on a plate from the 1st second. It looked like neither Dom or Hunter had ever heard of Wilder before and hadnt realized what they were stepping in to. He also stepped out to that 1st round like he was stepping out to a settled down and by now pattern filled 7th or 8th rounds. He just didnt look ready for anything.

Hunter and Dom must of gone through some tactical training, what the hell were they doing in it, thats not how you set yourself up against a guy like Wilder. Like i say, take nothing away from Wilder he couldnt of done what he did any better than that and you cant ask for more than that, and it would of happened fairly soon anyway, but Breazeale and Hunter never even tried to give themselves a chance in this fight.

I suppose its easy to say this in hindsight but its a forum, thats what its far. Im just frustrated that Breazeale wanted this shot so long and when he took it he didnt even give himself a chance to get in to the fight.

As much I tried to tell everyone Virgil is a former pimp who impregnated his main b in Keisha’s coles mom he couldn’t save Dominic and you know this. Not even god himself could save Dominic like he did fury cause wilder is just getting better every fight like a sayian.

You are right i know he couldnt of saved Dom in this fight, im just saying it looked like they didnt even try. You gotta have a plan for that 1st round, there was nothing there.

He could of walked over to Wilder and asked him "where do you want me to stand, how far from you do you want me to be" And Wilder couldnt of picked a better place than exactly where Breazeale chose to stand.

Like i say, Dom was about to get twatted big time no doubt about it but everything about what Dom did from the 1st bell seemed dumb as hell and just asking to be knocked out. All that build up for that madness, suicidal positioning.

Ohh and no accusations of funny business. Thats not what im getting to.

All of this seems like easy tasks for you but when you’re in the ring with a killer your whole plan goes out the window.

I'm not big on or anti-Hunter so much I'm on some sh^t that you can't turn a Camry into a Lambo.

I don't know how you can dog Hunter for this specific fight for that reality. Even great trainers who freelance with big name guys in big fights tend to have a high failure rates as dogs in big fights like this one that Breazeale/Hunter were in.

If you wanna dog Hunter on his overall history with guys he has a longer history with fair play. But sh^t man he's still a top trainer just for getting his guys who've failed as far as he got them before they failed. And lets not act like he hasn't had some high level successes too. You don't become as known as Hunter has by not being a high level trainer.

Because he is a good trainer that both fighters and other trainers know of and speak on despite what people on the outside looking in may say

Idk i think the fighter was more to blame...Remember Hatton vs Pac. It wasnt Floyd Sr fault. As soon as Hatton got hit he threw out gameplan, and Wilder said he reacted funny from first right hand

                Hunter is weird AF.

Very overrated IMO, without Ward he would really have nothing on his record and Ward would likely have succeeded without him (via headbutt, low blows, dirty clinch).

Look at what Hunter did with Khan...an improvement? Hardly!

This was Brezeale's first fight with Hunter, right? My thing is, if he doesn't catch a fighter earlier in his/her career, then we won't see that much improvement.

Most people rarely change and they revert back to their sloppy ways when they get hit or cornered. We can't base Hunter's work off of what he did with Ward or the other established fighters that came to him in need.

Stuff like this makes me want Ward to come back for a couple of fights, so Hunter can leave the arena a happy man. Lol

Hunter hasnt had much luck other than with Ward. He has some good up and comers though, he trains a lot of fighters i think 20 many prospects.
