Bit of an exaggeration. Sumo, Baseball, Football (soccer), Tennis are all bigger sports there, MMA too.

but you are right, there is definitely money to be made there, which is why McDonnell went there to sell his belt to Inoue and get knocked out. McDonnell could've stayed in England or fought on DAZN with his title and made decent money. Hearn said the offer for McDonnell to fight in Japan was a very big offer that surprised him, too big to turn down.

Thx. My wife and I have both wanted to go since we were kids. We finally have the resources to do it. I didn't even know the Olympics were going to be there. She wants to visit all the touristy stuff but I want to go to some of the more historic sites as I used to study the feudal era.

All of them! Lol. That's actually something we need to iron out. We usually agree on most things but our interests in Japan are very different.
