The welterweight division is gonna really heat up in 2007 with all the fighters in it right now. Plus including Cotto moving up and Mosley moving down. Boxers like Cotto, Mayweather, Hatton, Margarito, Judah, Cintron, Mosley, Gatti, Baldomir, Williams, Collazo, Quintana.

Yeah, but kermit pull out in the last minute and instead is looking to fight mark suarez for mayweather's vacant belt.

Forgot to mention Joel Julio who can be in that mix as well. He is a good fighter that just ran into the wrong guy and the wrong style of fighter in Quintana (similar to what happend to Hatton).

But the fact of the matter is Welterweight has an EMBARRASMENT of talent. I use the word embarrasment because its ridculous and shameful that a lot more of these guys haven't fought each other yet. Lets hope 2007 isn't a dodge fest.
