Comments Thread For: Joe Joyce Knocks Out Alexander Ustinov in Third

That man is a athlete, he has excellent feet for his size no doubt about that the man is doing Capoeira after wins so he has to be athletic to pull that off...
However, from the Waist Up he is extremely awkward and Uncoordinated. Slow Hand Speed and very Stiff from the Shoulder Up, he just cannot move his head well and has ZERO Reflexes when it comes to punches coming back at him. Same issue that Price has on which he looks good when he letting punches fly but when punches come flying back at him he just cannot react to them which leads to him getting knocked out
One thing about Joyce, he gets STRONG as the fight goes, this was the Case in the Amatures, he would get down 2-0 vs someone like Tony Yoka or whoever but then come out strong in that 3rd. Same with that Usyk fight in the WSB, Usyk destroyed him for 3 straight rounds then Joyce came on strong in the 4th and 5th Round
So he is a guy that if he can take your power and weather the storm, he can beat some of these OVERRATED Current Heavyweights. Pros being 10-12 Rounds compared to Amatures 3 Rounds (5 Rounds in WSB) works for Joyce IMO

Ustinov is Breazeale with ten more years on the odometer. He's the proverbial cigar store Indian, I did see decent trunk rotation on Joyce, but until he fights a live body I have no clue if he can have any defense when he is in a 50-50 type fight.

I’d favour plenty of guys over Joyce on handspeed and footwork alone. If he rematches Usyk in the pros he’s going to get his head boxed off.
i was watching on 2 screens and it was like i was watching 2 different sports.
That said, i like Joyce. He's slow but very strong and tough, which will probably take him a long way in today's heavyweight scene because there isn't many skilled heavyweights.
I'm not even sure Joyce could land a punch on someone who can move like Fury, but for most of today's static heavyweights he could give them a tough night because he can throw plenty of shots, has good stamina and looks very durable.

Joyce looks so slow and clunky but then so far he always gets the job done. I just have a feeling he's a disaster waiting to happen
