Comments Thread For: Breazeale: When I Get WBC Title, Joshua Deal is Easier To Make

Heavyweight contender Dominic Breazeale is confident that he can secure a rematch with IBF, IBO, WBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua. But in order to get that rematch, he needs to upset WBC world champion Deontay Wilder on Saturday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

... AJ badly staggered him in the 2nd round and then he carried him a few more rounds...

Well that Joshua deal cant be any harder to make than it is now with Wilder talking 100 million a fight. Breazeale has already been beaten silly by AJ and would be willing to do it again. Wilder dare not even try a 1st time.

If Breazeale makes an upset and stops Wilder, he will just take one huge fight away from us. Joshua -Wilder wouldn`t be really big than. Nobody is interested in Joshua -Breazeale 2.

... Even if Breazeale stops Wilder (by accident, of course), he will be forced into a rematch...

Breazeale gets knocked out within 4 rounds so all this talk is irrelevant.

No one wants to see Joshua pummel him again

Irrespective of the outcome of the fight, the boxing public would still like to see Joshua-Wilder fight.

I doubt it as he’s the mandatory.

Yep....... There is NO way this fight is happening without a rematch clause. Even if there was no clause, I expect the WBC to do their jobs and call for an immediate rematch.
