    NO!

    Do boxers say it anyway?

    YES!

Pretty regularly as it turns out. So, stop acting like it is so shocking coming out of Deontay's mouth.

    Besides, it's working.

    Just saw Deontay on SportsCenter.

Yes, a rival broadcaster is talking about Wilder threatening Breazeale...which is probably why Deontay did it in the first place.

Look for the ratings to be pretty high, and definitely partly because of morbid curiousity.

Folks will tune in to see if Wilder actually does it.

    Yeah, sick.

    But true.
I disagree. This piece of chit has given this some thought, has realized that he could not be legally held to blame, and is fantasizing about his big right hand and what it would do for his reputation if he killed a guy. He means it, but would regret it if it happened.

    He's scum.

I was watching First Take this morning, the entire panel thought it was no big deal. They all laughed Wilder's comments off and called the WBC a joke. The boxing community is filled with a bunch of *******

They know it’s hype weather he means it or not. Because they don’t like wilder through mayweather/Haymon hate osmosis or they are fury/aj/eddie Hearn fanboys. They’re gonna pretend they don’t pay to see blood. Remember you don’t play boxing people put their lives on the line each time that they step in the ring. So all the hate and bad mouthing that I see here since now because someone they hate for no reason other than the color of his skin (keep it real) says something now everyone is on a crusade foh miss me with the bulllllllshhhhhhhht

That’s true. There isn’t much buzz for this fight. Gotta do something. Hell you can get tickets on Groupon

If you like boxing you should condemn Wilder for it. If anything happens to Breazeale it'll 10x worse because of Wilders pathetic words. "I'm going to kill you" is probably the most uttered words before a fight IRL, but you just don't do it in combat sports. The ramifications can be very bad not only for the fighter saying it but the sport as a whole.

Wilder saying he wants a body and that he’s a killer is nothing more than hype. Wilder doesn’t even come close to the aura Tyson presented in the ring when he fought. Wilder just needs to fight and quit with this “im a killer” act because it’s not genuine.
So the issue is that you don't believe Wilder is being honest?

Right. I understand what Wilder is trying to do. Still he has never killed anyone in the ring or even came close. His last opponent got of the ground no less. He has no basis to say this even if he may be the hardest puncher. Tyson never killed anyone, and he himself took the beating against Evander and Lewis. No real boxing fan wants anyone to get seriously hurt. It’s a shame to promote a fight like boxing fans are savages. If we wanted to see a snuff film then the whole sport would be different. I think it’s tacky and shameful and one day he may end up getting seriously hurt himself. He has a sick daughter, he needs to put it into perspective.

I'd argue that a lot of us thought Spilka was ****ed, and I thought Liakhovich was dead when Wilder caught him.

But it's clearly hype. heavyweights typically don't die in the ring because they don't drain themselves to make weight.

We don’t always agree on the details, but I’ll back u up all day on ur comments that are representing of a true fan who cares about the sport. Wilder trying to get people to tune in because he says they might see a snuff film is pure bad taste. The same people that would want to see a death in the ring are the same people that would hope his sick daughter would die. Shame.
