Golden Boy trying to bait Floyd

This is just my opinion and I am curious to know what others think. The entire golden boy team keeps trying to take themselves out of contention and at the same time, bait floyd into fighting the more dangerous guy in margarito. Now personally I think that margarito is a dangerous fight but not a tough fight for floyd. What I mean by that is margarito always has a chacne to KO a fighter but as long as floyd stays cautous he wins running away.

First you had oscar saying he will not fight floyd, then you have shane saying the same and now even Bernard is saying that a mayweather fight with margarito should be a prelude to a fight with mosley. Since when shoulf the lb for lb number 1 guy fight a qualifier to face mosley? I really think that this is a plan to force floyd to take a dangerous fight to keep themselves out of the fire. Also, while I would like to see floyd vs. margarito mpst of te guys in the barbershop who by payperviews are not really aware of who antonio is. I promote him as a tough fighter but can he legitimately be a draw and is that 8 million a number that prmoters can legitimately come up with for this fight.

i agree, i cant believe Hopkins said that in the same sentence as saying he is a history buff. Never have I heard the #1 fighter in world fighting eliminators to fight a contender with no belts. LOL, this is hilarious, who they think they fooling, if anything Mosley should fight him in the eliminator.

thats a bad move on the part of dlh and mosley. they should be trying to get fights with floyd themselves. think about it, dlh or mosley fight and beat mayweather and then retire. what a way to go out. beating the snot out of floyd and going out saying "yup, for my final fight i beat the undefeated p4p no. 1 guy". rather than letting margarito get that honor, one of them should take it.

Regardless of how much i respect PBF, he does need to choose an opponent & Margarito is the best choice if he willing to fight in Nov(& stops being a *****). I think the golden boy squad just want to see him against the biggest opponent at WW, and see what kind of problems that causes him so Oscar can recognize & exploit them, even though IMO he would take care of Margarito not as easily as Gatti, but in similar fashion(the honor of beating floyd definitely wont be Margi's).

I agree with you blockhead but I think that they really do not want to fight floyd and they will face a lot pressure to face margarito should he win. now honestly i think that should margarito win he would be an easier match for a guy like dlh. and of course i thinkk that floyd would beat dlh. I was just really taken aback when I heard Bhop go through that whole propaganda thing about floyd fighting margarito.

on the flip side I now see floyd using the whole Margarito tried to disrespect me angle to get out of fighting him. and I say this as a floyd fan.

Anyone think DLH may look at a Mosely rubber-match now as his final fight?

Everyone with eyesight had DLH beating Mosely in the rematch, which makes them 1-1. A lot of money to be made there, and redemption of unfinished business, and Golden Boy wins either way. I'd bet that's a possibility, esp since Floyd seems to be such a pain to negotiate with.

they all seem to chummy now to get a matchup like that done in my opinion. what strikee me as being odd is this new relationship with winky wright. i think tht this takes winky out of the contention for fighting dela hoya now. floyd is gonna have to bite the bullet and fight margqarito. there is absolutely no one else ther for him to fight on HBO in november. I just hate that it seems like the other top fighters that he should be able to wreck are trying to force his hand

They are trying to play Floyd. He should fight Margarito or look for other options. Delahoya is calling the shots and making Floyd wait for a match between them. If I was Mayweather I would just say **** Golden Boy, fight Margarito and let Oscar retire without by getting his ass whipped by someone else. Forrest (if he recovers from injuries) should look for Shane and finish the job. Golden Boy is starting to annoy me.
